Support Services
Support Services
We have available to us a team of DfE specialists. They help support in the following areas:
- Child development
- Special educators
- Speech pathologists
- Hearing impairment coordinators
- Psychologists
- Social workers
- Behaviour support coordinators
Should you have concerns about your child’s development, the Director of the centre will be able to provide you with more information so that all children’s needs are met.
Children who are identified as needing extra support can be referred to the appropriate services. This will allow them to receive the help that they need.
Children who are eligible to receive additional services will then be entitled to extra support time whilst they attend the preschool. This can be through either direct access to the specialist service or to trained staff who work at the centre.
School Dental Services
Children are entitled to dental treatment through the School Dental Service.
Enrolment forms are available through the preschool. The School Dental Surgery is located at 36 Flinders Terrace, Port Augusta or Phone (08)86485840
Child and Youth Health Service Check
The preschool will support you to organise a comprehensive health check which is available to all children who attend the centre before they go to school
Hearing Program
Australian Hearing visit the centre annually to identify and monitor the ear health of Aboriginal children.
